Story
This is a breakout and development board for the ARM Cortex-M4 CPU and 2.4 GHz Bluetooth radio combination
1.It's very "mini". Breaks out most critical I/O pins while maintaining a small footprint
2.Features a USB interface for programming, powering and communicating with the chip
3.It includes LiPo battery charger, qwiic connector, on/off switch, reset switch and user LED/button.
4.Pre-programmed via USB bootloader. Programs can be developed using Arduino and compiled code loaded using the USB serial or mass storage interface.
In addition to these, there are other advantages
ARM Cortex-M4 CPU with Floating Point Unit (FPU)
1MB internal flash memory – for all your program, SoftDevice and file storage needs!
256kB internal RAM – for stack and heap storage.
Integrated 2.4GHz radio supports:
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) – with peripheral and/or central BLE device support
ANT – If you want to turn your device into a heart rate or exercise monitor.
Nordic's proprietary RF protocol - if you want to communicate securely with other Nordic devices.
Every I/O peripheral you could ever need
USB – Turn your nRF52840 into a USB mass storage device, using the CDC (USB serial) interface and more.
Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) – Eight pins on the nRF52840 Mini Breakout support analog input
PWM - Timer support on any pin means PWM support for driving LEDs or servo motors.
Real-Time Clock (RTC) – Keeps track of seconds and milliseconds and also supports scheduled deep sleep functionality.
Peripheral multiplexing - (almost) any pin can support any of the above functions!
Supply
Bluetooth Development Board
Lithium Ion Battery
Break Away Headers - Straight
Breadboard
USB Cable
Assembly
We recommend soldering in either the male header pins or the female header socket. A splitter with soldered male headers and breadboard connections.
